Well I am a first time blogger and do not have the slightest idea of how to navigate my way about this website and was thus at a loss for several minutes as to how to find other peoples blogs. I eventually did in time to complete my English homework. The first interesting blog that I came across was about food and what could be better than writing about food on a cold blustery day in mid-January.

This blog is about healthy alternative recipes for the comfort food we all love like Mac-n-Cheese and Pot Pies. The recipes sounded delicious and not at all hard to pull off, except for the fact that I live in a college dorm and the kitchen amenities consist of a sink and coffee pot. Other than that I thought sharing healthy recipes was a creative way to use a blog page and very helpful for people just looking to make something new for dinner.

Okay next blog, creepy wedding cake. The blog includes a picture of a wedding cake. Only this isn’t a normal wedding cake. It is in the shape of the bride. Yes the cake is a replica of the bride…talk about narcissistic, anyway the caption of the picture says that the bride always wanted a doll that looked like her so she settled for a…cake. At least it was a good likeness. I learned that pictures not just writing are a very effective way of blogging through this blog.

This last blog is about life and the lessons that this person has learned. She so kindly shared her insights about life. It was uplifting especially if you are going through hard times. An example of what she said was, “A good support system is everything.” This was a good way to share what you have learned and maybe help other people. The author uses the blog as an uplifting piece as opposed to funny, or diary like, or just swapping recipes. I found out that blogs are very versatile and can be used in many ways to convey what you want to share with the public.
Welcome to blogging!
